CCU nurse here. Code going on and the intern, who was certifiable, wanted us to stop the code so he could look up the strips in his manual. Needless to say that didn’t happen, and he complains about our insubordination, while lying through his teeth. Okay.
Nurses will no longer run the codes unless he is incapacitated. Next code we hear him running down the hall. As he passes the nurses station, one of the nurses sticks out her foot. He face-planted, out cold, and we finished saving the guy’s life. He was removed from the service soon after.
