crawlies

I’m an ER tech. I once received a patient by EMS in a room, changed him into a gown and put his clothes in a belongings bag (per usual) and took his vitals. Then the medic comes back to the room as I’m walking out and says “oh just wanted to let you know he has ‘crawlies’ everywhere” and I was like WTF?? I go back to the room and on top of the clean white blanket sheets I put on the patient I see a bunch of bed bugs crawling and I took a look at the clothes I bagged and the bed bugs were crawling all over the bag. I froze. Literally froze. Changed into loaner scrubs, and felt like I had bugs in my hair and my skin the rest of my shift.
