Had a woman come in for a head injury from an accident. It was winter, and she was behind a box truck that didn’t de-ice the top. The sheet of ice came off and went through her windshield. It sliced her head straight down the middle, including the skull. The wild part was that she was conscious and talking with personnel. She would laugh, and the blood would surge out of her and down her face, and she’d be like, ” Oh, I think I sprang a leak.”
It’s absolutely WILD what the human body can endure, and what adrenaline does. She ended up completely fine, too, no brain damage or injury whatsoever.
