a little coke

Patient: “I impulsively took a handful of blood pressure pills to hurt myself then I changed my mind so I made myself vomit by putting my fingers down my throat, then I did a bunch of cocaine because I started freaking out, but then I decided I probably should go to the hospital. Do you think I’m OK?!”

Me: “uh….”

Poison Control: “uh….”

Doc: “I THINK they fixed the issue with the cocaine, but let’s do 8hr obs.”

VSS the entire time and psych cleared the patient for next day follow up.
